Quad ESL's in the Movies

Well it had to happen. One day the Quad ESL's would be famous and it came quite early. In 1960 Michael Powell directed Peeping Tom. At the time it was controversial due to its content and was later described as the British version of Psycho. I wont ruin the story but right at the end the main character is in his photo studio listening to some old tapes. What is he listening to them on ?

High Tech for 1960 - Multitrack and ESL's ???
